06-days China Travel: Golden Summit and Bamboo Sea
Highlights of the trip: The Leshan Giant Buddha, built during the Tang Dynasty, is carved out of a cliff face that lies at the confluence of the Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers in the southern part of Sichuan province in China, near the city of Leshan. The stone sculpture faces Mount Emei, with the rivers flowing below his feet. It is the largest stone Buddha in the world and it is by far the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. The Mount Emei Scenic Area, including Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. The Bamboo Sea, characterized by bamboo scenery, has won its fame for its unique green and graceful bamboos which make every visitor wonder if they were in a fairy land of heaven. In Chengdu, we spend time exploring Jinli ancient street, which is a winding cobblestone lane lined with replicas of Qing Dynasty mansions selling local tea, books, souvenirs, musical instruments and caricatures. Day 1: Arrive at Chengdu
Guide meets you at Chengdu International Airport, then escort to hotel for check-in.
Day 2: Chengdu – Leshan - Emeishan (B/L/D)
After hotel breakfast, you will transfer to visit Leshan Giant Buddha on cruise, which was built during the Tang Dynasty (618–907AD). Besides, it is one of great pieces of Moyan stone statues of Tang dynasty and the largest Maitreya sitting statues in the world and was listed in the Chronology of Recognition of World Heritages in China. Transfer to hotel for good rest.
Day 3: Emeishan - Yibin (B/L/D)
After hotel breakfast, transfer to visit Mt. Emei (Golden Summit, including Jinding cable car and eco-car), known as Plant Kingdoms, Animal Paradise, and Geological Museum, which is one of Four Buddhist Holy Mountains and tourist attractions. Because of mysterious natural scenery and rich Buddhist culture, it is listed as parts of the world natural and cultural heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Then transfer to Yibin.
Day 4: Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea (B/L/D)
After hotel breakfast, visit Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea. Then back to hotel for good rest. Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea, located in Yibin city, covers an area of 120 square kilometers, which is the largest natural bamboo scenic area in the world, and known as natural oxygen bar with large amount of negative ion of oxygen in the air. There are 15 genera and 58 species of bamboo, many special animals such as bamboo rat, bamboo frog, and rare mushrooms. The main spots: green gallery, Wangyou alley, Mo stream, Qinglong lake, mirror pond, Longyin temple etc. The main sports: sailing and floating on the lake.
Day 5: Yibin-Chengdu (B/L/D)
After hotel breakfast, transfer to Chengdu, then proceed to visit Jinli ancient street., which is a winding cobblestone lane lined with replicas of Qing Dynasty mansions selling local tea, books, souvenirs, musical instruments and caricatures. Then transfer to hotel for good rest
Day 6: Depart From Chengdu (B)
After hotel breakfast, transfer to Chengdu Airport. End of service.
